The Odyssey of the Mind World Finals is an annual event held in the United States. Teams advancing from competitions at the local level are eligible to attend the World Finals, where they compete against winning teams from across the United States and from a number of countries including Canada, China, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Poland and Singapore. In Hong Kong, the championship teams in the Local Competitions have this marvellous opportunity to join the World Finals and meet the top finishers from all over the world.
 
   
  Odyssey of the Mind 2008 World Finals
  The 2008 World Finals were held at the University of Maryland in the United States from 29 May to 5 June 2008. Competing with over 800 teams from 31 of the U.S. states and 15 other countries, 6 championship teams from the 2008 Hong Kong Odyssey of the Mind Competitions performed exceedingly well at the World Finals. They achieved very encouraging results with POH Chan Kai Memorial College placing 1st Runner-up in the ¡mDinoStories¡nDivision II Competition and The Hong Kong teams were among the ten finalists who won an award in the Float and Banner Parade.

  Odyssey of the Mind 2007 World Finals
 

¡@¡@The annual Odyssey of the Mind World Finals were held in the United States in May, providing youngsters with an invaluable opportunity to exchange creative ideas with their counterparts from around the world. A total of 810 teams from more than 30 American states as well as 12 other countries, including Hong Kong, Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Korea, Poland, Singapore, Mexico and Kazakhstan gathered for the Finals at Michigan State University from 23 to 26 May 2007. Horizons were broadened during the pin trading and cultural exchange activities with buddy teams.

¡@¡@6 championship teams from the 2007 Hong Kong Odyssey of the Mind Competitions performed outstandingly in the World Finals. The Hong Kong teams were among the ten finalists who won an award in the Float and Banner Parade and it was very gratifying that 4 teams from the delegation were listed in top ten in the World Finals. They were King Ling College and POH Chan Kai Memorial College which were 2nd runners-up in < The Large and Small of It > Division II and III respectively. Another team from King Ling College came 4th in vehicular problem¡mTag'Em¡nDivision II, while Creative Primary School came 7th in the performance problem¡mI'm Only Thinking of You!¡n Division I.

Odyssey of the Mind 2006 World Finals

¡@¡@"Stepping out of Hong Kong, forging into the World"

¡@¡@This year, 7 championship teams from the 2006 Hong Kong Odyssey of the Mind Competitions represented Hong Kong in the World Finals at Iowa State University in the USA, from 24 to 27 May. They learned about other cultures and exchanged creative ideas with other finalists from around the world.

¡@¡@They met teams from 40 states of the USA and 17 other countries, including Canada, China, Germany, Japan, Poland, Singapore and Korea. It was very gratifying that St. Stephen's Girls' Primary School was 2nd runner-up in <Classics¡KAncient Egypt> Division I and the Hong Kong delegation were among the ten finalists in the Float and Banner Parade.

in the <Tech Transfer> Division III Competition

PLK Centenary Li Shiu Chung Memorial College was adjudged to be 22th out of 39 teams
in the <Tech Transfer> Division II Competition

Sha Tin Methodist College came 26th out of 35 teams
in the <Great Parade> Division III Competition

St. Catharine's School For Girls, Kwun Tong, came in 29th out of 40 teams
in the <Geometry Structure> Division III Competition
